Shifter boot removal?

Shifter boot removal?
Sorry if this seems like a stupid question, but for the life of me I can’t seem to figure out the trick to removing the shifter boot in my 82 4x4. I need to get the shift lever out to check the bushings on the shifter. I have removed the screws that I can find, but something still seems to be holding the boot in place at the rear around the t-Case lever. Help!

If you lift the front of the T-case boot, there are two sheet metal screws holding two metal tabs down. Remove them and at the front of the shifter boot there are two bent tabs that hold the front of the boot in place. Slide the boot to the rear and the shift boot can be move up out of the way.
