Power steering

Hey guys I have an 83 pickup w/o power steering and over here on craigslist there is someone selling the power steering box, pump, and lines for $100 does this seem good to get. What else do you think I would need? Any input would be great.

you will need the bracket to mount pump to engine (2 peice bracket and bolts)
maybe the bolt on pully....not sure if the bolt on run the pump or ac comp.
$100 sounds great if it all works!

i had a 79 with power steering on 33's. i drove an 83 with stock tires and was a real workout, just on the street. this will be a huge improvement. just my .02 money well spent imo..

Put power steering on my truck last winter and WOW! After driving it with 265x16s what an improvement. Backing out of the driveway, I thought I forgot to connect the steering shaft to the box.
As for other parts, I got the engine crank pulley, pump, bracket and hoses from a 2wd, doesn't matter if it's a 22r or 20r. A guy gave me the box for free with some other parts I bought.
The pulley has 4- 6mm bolts that hold it to the crank pulley , you don't have to remove the big center bolt. Get a new belt and check the idler pulley bearing.
Best thing I ever did to this thing for driveability.
