Paint Touch up 1982 4x4 Pickup Beige/Creme

Hello,
I'm the 3rd owner of my 1982 Toyota 4x4 5-speed. When I got it in 2016 it had a new paint job. I'm stumped on color codes, any insight and/or background knowledge is appreciated. At first glance it almost looks like it is a different color than the color code for the 82' model which was 4A8 (see photos)

It looks like the exterior and interior paint are different.

same with this one. At first I couldn't decide if the paint color was 489 (79-81 models), or 4A8 (82 models) or maybe even 557 (88 models) but after getting a touch up pen I can't tell if the pen color is wrong or if I'm wrong.

Here is the color code chart

Here is the touch up paint pen in code 489

Used it to fill in some rust spots but its obvious it doesn't match....

Im wanting to re-do all the seams as they are prone to rust, but want to make sure I have the correct color code.

Any insight is much appreciated! Thought I would stop by the forum first, before taking it into a body shop. Waiting on transfer case seat washer in the mail since mine was disintegrated, so I'm just doing other little touch up projects until the 18th while I wait

P.S. If anyone has a brown interior door handle bezel they are looking to sell, I'm in the market for one 79-82

Your best bet would be if you could find out from the previous owner what color they painted it. It could very easily be a non Toyota paint color.
My 81 used to be 93 ford jewel green, and I only know that because it was dad and I that did the paint.
Autobody shop may have something similar to house paint store where you can scan a paint chip to match the color.

Yea if you look at the pic with the door jamb, you can see two different colors, probably because the truck was repainted not original color

Were ever you buy your paint in Washington state, they will have a nifty gun that will scan the color on your truck and give you a paint color that will match. you'll probably have to buy at least a pint of paint. being a repaint I can guarantee it was painted with something close and not the factory color.
