Need New Engine for 1983 Toyota P/U SR5

Hey guys,

I am looking for a new or quality rebuilt 22R to replace mine. Know of any reputable sources in the southwest? I am in Durango, CO.

Also, those of you that have upgraded to a 6 cylinder in this vehicle, how expensive was the transition and how difficult?

Thanks!

Go ahead and buy an 86-95 22R if you replace. Parts are more abundant for the later style engines.

as stated 22r performance is a great option but also davezoffroadperformance. I have one of his engines and i can't say enough good things about it and davez support. The guy drove 400 miles to pick up my truck and fix something that he later found out wasn't his motor and still didn't even charge me. Plus the motor was just over 1800 bucks with cam, water pump, flywheel, and shipped!
