Hey guys
Long time lurker so I decided to get in on the posting action!
Here's my '81 Pickup:

Sorry for such a terrible quality photo. Lately I've kinda have been wanting to trade this for a 86-88 Pickup or 4runner. I just dont use or need to SFA and someone else could do this truck a better justice. I would rather have EFI and power steering because of how much on road I drive. Regardless, it is a great truck and is in great shape for its year. Very minimal rust and I'm the 3rd owner and supposedly only has 150,000 miles.

If you sell it just make sure someone doesn't chop it up and turn it into a trail only rig!

There's no way I'd ever sell. The only reason I said I would trade is because my first love was a 1st gen 4runner and 2nd gen pickup. I would only trade if it was the right truck too. I was in the market for one but came upon this truck locally in dang good shape and for a pretty good deal so I picked it up. The only rust on the truck is the tailgate and a small about of surface rust throughout the bed. I in no way regret pickin it up though.
I'm in North Alabama.
Maybe I just had a bad day with the truck today, but i took a drive, washed it, waxed it, worked on the bedliner, and removed the rusty tailgate. I love it again

Nice Rig....hang on to it....81's are my favorite year, last year for round headlights, first year for 22R....perfect combination!

Yeah I love the round headlights!! That's a bad picture of it too. It's a little nicer than that! Lol

This truck went across the stage at Barrett Jackson for $4620. Not great, but would have made for a good parts truck LOL

Yeah i saw that one too....theres a very limited market for a truck like that especially at a place like Barrett Jackson....probably would have brought stronger money if restored to stock...jmo

I just joined the ranks of the pre-84 club, and returned to the Toyota 4x4 club. I had a 1989 short bed around 2006, but sold it like a dummy back in 2009.
Just this week, however, I picked up a 1982 4x4 Longbed. It was a ranch truck, and it's been worked hard. But I know how durable these buggars can be!
