20r toyota won't start when engine is warm, diagnosis help?

This might be an obvious fix but just looking to see if anyone else has had a similar issue. My five speed 20r hilux will not start again after the engine has warmed up.
I just recently bought it and immediately had this issue. It had not been driven regularly before i bought it. A few days ago I drove it and got up to about 50mph, then parked it and shut it off. Immediately after that (like within five minutes) it wouldn't start again. It cranked for a very long time but no start. I know its not the battery and i believe its not the starter.
While it sat i checked the coolant, i put in new spark plugs and wires and a new fuel filter hoping that might fix something. (It needed it anyways) then after it sat for a night and cooled down, it started right up very quickly. So i drove it around a bit and got it up to 40mph and came home, parked it and shut it off. I tried to start it again right after and it was same as before, very long crank but no start.
It has coolant, brand new spark plugs and wires, new fuel filter, gas in the tank, a good battery, a new fuel pump. The issue seems to be when the engine warms up? Just wondering if anyone has any ideas so i can try to fix this, i want to be able to take it into town and not get stranded for hours at the grocery store. Anyone had a similar issue?

Check the choke. If the choke is closed when the engine is hot, it might keep it from starting. I would say it's a fuel issue. Is the carb stock? Does it have an aftermarket carb? It's hard to diagnose these kinds of problems when the vehicle isn't in front of you.

Ok thanks good to know. Ill check for that. I'm not totally sure if the carb is stock or aftermarket but i believe its an oem part

No sir, that is an aftermarket Weber carb. Check for any open vacuum ports first. Then as said, make sure the choke isn’t choking when warm.

Same thing happened on my '81. It was the coil ignitor malfunctioning. No spark until the engine/bay was cool.

I was also thinking what r100guy said. It could be ignition also. My V8 S10 shut off on me in traffic one day, it was 100plus that day. The truck wouldn't start. After Some guys helped me push it out of the way, once it cooled down, it started back up, then refused to start again later. I found a bad ignition coil. Check the choke, then check to make sure you have spark when it refuses to start.
