83 yota 3in rough country lift need shackle help!!

I'm new here. Just got a 83 toyota with a 3 in rough country lift already installed but my shackle angle was terrible (/) instead of this(\) I can figure out how to make it right. I tried lifting the truck and prying it right that didn't work an I tried seeing if the spring was backwards with no luck either. Any help would be appreciated it rides like a square wheeled wagon like it is and the shackle laying against the frame isn't helping any. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it. Thanks

sounds like the springs are too short. i think the only way you can fix it and still use those springs would be to move the shackles forward on the frame.

I hope not I have the same springs up front an they measure out right but there is a lot more weight up there. So hopefully with a bigger pry bar and some will power I can get it right or close to right an put some, weight in the bed and hopefully it will settle in the, correct position with time?

I have rough country springs too. Mine were a bit fickle durring install, had to hook up the shackles and slowly lower the truck making sure they went the right direction. Now that they settled in a bit, they are fine. I think R/C simply curves their springs a bit much, so they are a pain. - Now that they got a few hundred miles on em, i'm happy with them.

- Word of Warning!! - CHECK YOUR PINION ANGLES! , mine was making a vibration after install, $150 worth of chasing this mystery vibration led to realise my pinion angle was off. https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f114...y-gear-281368/ ... some measuring and a simple set of $25 dollar wedges would have saved me a world of worry.

Hope it all works out for ya.

Thanks for the response I'm going to out it back together an see what I can some up with I called rc an they assured me it was right. As for the pinion angle when I'm driving an I Let off the gas just coasting it makes some kind of awful noise but when I o it it back under power it stops it sounds the u joints but if my angle is off maybe that could be it too? I haven't investigated it yet I'm just trying to get the springs strait first lol
