Ive been checking the papers and that because im looking for another little pickup. I found a 81 2.2 L diesel, all it says is that it runs great. Are these good engines or should i find out more?

 

From what I understand, those trucks are pretty rare. I've also heard that they are prone to headgasket failure. I believe that's what they call the 1L. Also, I have heard that they are pretty slow. But I bet it would be great for a DD as far as fuel economy goes. You could also look into biodiesel setups. I have been wanting to do a 2L swap in an older truck or 4runner, but it can cost serious money. If you don't mind me asking, what do they want for it?

 

They are asking 1500 obo so its probably pretty rusty. i just need a good platform to start on, after i decked my 4runner right out its so nice i dont want to 4x in it and give it anymore body damage so this is a possible project candidate haha
