Ive searched and cant find any for sale. Only ones I can find are the ones for later vehicles that have the double exports that hook to the exhaust pipe.

Is there a way to use the double export on my truck? Please give me ideas. My truck don't have a cat. It's just a pipe to the muffler.

Are you looking for a manifold or a header?

Exhaust manifold. Would a header be a performance part?

I'm also getting the 32/36 weber carb. I didn't know if I put something other than stock would I have to reject or do something diff to the carb.

Are you somewhere that you need to worry about emissions checks? Some more specifics on the truck/engine would be nice. Your other thread said '81, this says '79 20R. Previous swap? building a hybrid? More info = better help. Good headers do nothing but help and are a good pairing with the Weber.

Why would you want a manifold vs a header? Yes I guess a header is considered a performance part.... Also, why do you need a new manifold?

To put a weber carb on a 20r you need a kit like this... It's just an adapter piece

The header would replace the manifold.

Once I have everything sorted out with mine I plan to replace the manifold with an aftermarket header. If you're still looking for a stock manifold I'll hook you up.

I dont think I posted anything about having an 81. Mines a 1979 2wd 20r no cat. No I dont have to worry about emissions. Im just trying to do this as simple as possible and stock manifold is direct bolt.Plus cheaper I guess and I didnt know if id have to change the weber set up with a header.
The reason I want a manifold is because mine is cracked. I actually found one at a junk yard today for 70 bucks with the heat shield and bolts. I know I know its high but some of these parts are a booger to find.

THanks Rusker, how much you selling that for? Just curious.

THanks Nickmiller, thats why im here to learn the in and outs of these trucks. So im open to any suggestions. Peace

I thought the weber conversion kit came with what I needed to adapt it?

If you get the conversion kit this is included... you wrote "I'm also getting the 32/36 weber carb." which made me assume you thought they were a direct bolt-on. Sorry for the confusion

Sorry, I got confused with some other guy's post. You should get the flange milled on that cast iron manifold. They have a tendancy to warp. Or bolt it up and run it and get it milled if you have problems getting it to seal. I'd get a header, but I love my "performance" parts.

You'd have no differance in weber setup between headder and stock, other than slight differance in tune. Eg. manifold and weber hooked up, tune, drive for a while and decide you want a header. You'd just have to hook up the header and adjust the mix and idle. No change in hoses/wires ect.

When you get things hooked up, do this:

Not sure how much I'd sell it for, but it would be a lot less than $70. That seems like a lot. I'll keep an eye out here and let you know if I find anything. What state do you live in?

I actually got that one at the junk yard but thanks rusker. I live in lower AL.

I found out on another thread that you can get block off plates for certain water passages in the coolant system. You know much about that?

I have those, mine are home made though. My setup required them. You can leave that stuff alone if you're staying with a stock intake manifold (well, mostly, you will have to block some vac ports ect.). If you're doing a complete de-smog you want to do this. If you go with the Offenhouser intake I linked you to you need to do this as well. I'm a 22R guy so there will be some slight diff with what you have. Feel free to PM me and I'll try to help with any questions you have.

Thanks bingle I appreciate that. Yesterday I was looking at my intake and underneath it had some kinda plate on the bottom. What's that for?

Runs coolant through bottom of manifold to heat the intake runner. You need to keep that part hooked up, I think. If you can find an offy dual plane intake for the 20R, your weber carb, a decent set of headers, and a mild/RV type cam and you'd be amaised at your truck's performance. won't be a race car or anything, but that was the best blend of fuel economy and performance I had in my truck. I have more performance now but milage went down. The weber/adaptor plate will help but those others really wake the engine up and I had beter mpg than stock. Lots of parts/$$$ but even adding to the system when you have a few extra$ is a good way to go. Just my oppinion, from my experience, and mine is a 22R.
