For sale 1986 Toyota 4runner 5 speed manual (W56) DLX Trim

Registered in CA until January 2024 and just passed smog last week, paperwork and pink slip in hand.

The chassis has 230k on it the engine was rebuilt at somewhere around 210k.
The block is .20 over and has been checked for cracks, the rod big ends have been resized, it has new pistons and rings, the head was built by 22re performance in Chico CA, the rocker arms, tappets, and adjuster nuts are OEM, the rocker shafts are the extra oiling port design from LCE Performance. The engine was completely resealed using all OEM Toyota seals and gaskets from the master seals kit for the 22re. I bought two kits at the time and have a bunch of left over seals and gaskets that I'll send along with the truck. It will also come with a number of spare parts that I've collected over the years of ownership, some new unused OEM parts and some no longer available OEM parts pulled from salvage yards (ignitors, air flow meters and stuff like that)
























My goal when I purchased this truck was to make it as mechanically sound as possible (I think I did a lot toward that goal) and turn it into an overlander but life has begun to get in the way of the project and it has been sitting un-driven for a while now. It does drive and I took it on o 200 mile run today without issues, however, the front diff is showing some signs of wear. That being said I am also going to give you 4:88 gears and complete rebuild kits for both front and rear diffs from Yukon Gear with 29 spline pinion and 29 spline pinion flange for the 8". The deal gets better, I'll also throw in the 4xinnovations tire swing out tube bumper I had made for it about a year ago and never had time to put on. Also I'll throw in a brand new ARB Compressor. Also I have a full size spare tire and matching rim to go with the bumper. I'll even throw in the two volume factory service manual. Finally I also have a spare rear differential with an Aussie Locker already installed that also comes with the package.

Before you jump out of your chair to direct message me about this sweet deal (LOL) It would be remiss if I didn't mention that It's not all rainbows and unicorns... the interior needs some love. The panels are more or less in good shape but the front seats are from an early 90's Celica, they have good bolstering but they obviously aren't original. Secondly the dash pad has the signature cracks of a toyota from this vintage. Also the body has a few dings and some thinning paint with primer showing through on the roofline surround the sun roof and a few areas around the doors. Lastly there is minor rust on the driver A pillar in the door jam and one spot around the window trim. It's not so bad that the A pillar is going to need to be cut out or anything but eventually it will need some love. Aside from that A pillar rust the frame is rust free and the bones are solid. Truck has been a California truck all its life.
