Request for 3rd Gen XM Installs
I just got XM for my anniversary and was wondering if could see anyone's setups.
Any ideas on hardwiring in the power, and running the antenna would be appreciated.
I also don't have a aux in, nor tape player. Is the FM Modulator or Antenna hook-in better?
In fact, why don't you come over and just do it for me. Ha ha.
Thanks,
Ron

hey ron,
i used this to connect to my "stock" head unit.
http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Metra...oductDetail.do
the stock unit is from my wife's 2000 4runner - cd/tape/radio that i installed into my 88 4runner.
it provides both ipod and stereo input using the cd changer port.
maybe you can run a male-to-male stereo cable out from the xm receiver into the stereo input?
unfortunately, i don't know about hardwiring.
good luck!
