well, im the one who posted all this about installing stuff on my "parents" car. Yea, my parents bought it for me, but I drive it everyday, they just dont like me modding until something is broken, I found a good place called ebay to sell the parts I didn't need. Of course they got mad at me for about a week, but they got over it. I have TRD exhaust dual cat converter one, I dont know much.......Aftermarket headers, trd s/c , K&n Intake, and that's it. I am installing roll cage cuz I almost rolled over going too fast ( i cut my springs also btw, its dropped) on the way to and fro school beating the following cars in one night.....integras, civics, mustangs, eclipse, is300s, 325is,preludes, damn, so many to name, but I'm a nice guy. I hit my hazards just to piss them off. I havent dynoed my car yet, but i dont care because it is fast enough. My car only has 40k miles and I am planning on making that like a weekend car only, it still has the sleeper look. only exterior mods I have are clear corners, clear bumpers, clear tails. I love the look on peoples faces when I beat them.

I am really looking for a MR2 for daily driving. But yea that is what the rolll cage is for.

I dont think your going to get much positive feedback regarding racing a 4runner. If possible i would put it back to near stock use the money sold and put it into a sw20 as mentioned. = )

i wanna see some pics. No more cut springs!!

you almost rolled over because you cut your springs...doing that decreases your handaling and safety of the vehcile...do it right and buy some eibach lowering springs...they will accualy imrpove the handaling...and instaiing a roll cage will protect you if you roll but you should konw something before you go off racing your 4runner

YOUR VEHICLE WAS NOT DESIGNED TO BE A SPORTS CAR...its not ment to be whipped around turns or peel out...its just not safe..

To help you from rolling over what you should do is get low profile very wide tires...some super stiff shocks and real lowering springs...dont forget about thicker diameter sway bars..

an SW20 was the turbo mr2 motor i belive...4agte was the other one if i can recall

if you dyno you car... i wouldnt expect much.....5vz motor has a lot of potental but it wasnt made to be a powerhouse... not as much as a supra motor or the mr2

This is exactly the crowd of kids we made fun of in highschool, racing SUV's and trucks and getting mad when they get owned by sports cars with real mods, not ricers in highschool that think 14 seconds is a fast pass, or say their stock rice rockets ran 11's...sorry for the hijack...

lol. no worries. i enjoy gettin my truck up to speed too. dont have much of a win list, but its cool, cause i make it more difficult for myself. ive got me a 22re. thats the 2.4l 4cyl. try racin that against some lil sports car. aint goin no where.

UR DONE SON. hehehe.

but if ur serious about racin, and u wanna keep the runner as ur "race car" do it. just do it right. a roll cage may protect u, but ur parents find out u rolled ur truck... ur still dead. its much better to just spend the money on stabalizing ur beast so u dont have to worry about rolling.

edit, not to mention, if u roll, ur probally gonna lose the race man.
