What would you like to see in YotaTechs future?

FAQ is cool, that is why I am working on the FJ Cruiser one.
Yes, I dig the built in spell checker on FireFox.
At work though, I am stuck with an older version of FF, and do not have admin privies to install new software here, thus no spell checker.
To bad the update feature in FF can not update to the newer one.
I can do updates, but not install the stand alone package.

Another thought on the FAQ...
Given how vBulletin is setup, maybe the FAQ is a section and the threads are the topics. Assign CREATE/MODIFY access to only a couple of people for each _topic_ (so the author of the 3rd gen engine mods" topic can't modify the "2nd gen gearing" topic), and lock out everyone else. That'll keep down the flack and let people focus on information.
You may be thinking "We already have a tech section!" - well, we have a How To section, not an _organized_ "can I run 33's on a 3rd gen without a lift" Q&A section.
3rd thought... I dunno that vBulletin is a good idea for this. You can't easily browse and the hierarchy ends at just one level.
A classic FAQ or a Wiki is better. I'd lean towards a Wiki but limit the CREATE/MODIFY rights to only a handful of folks.

I'm ready and willing to help with the S/C area of the Wiki I feel like there's a lot of info I can pull together into one area, especially dealing with specifics of tuning and hardware selection.

I know Im really new here and dont have a whole lot to put but something I think would be helpfull to us Newbies since we like to find aftermarket parts for our rigs is this. First I like to see what a product looks like on my type of truck before I buy it, with that said maybe a section where you could choose a category: suspension lifts, body lifts, wheels, tires, bumpers, sliders, intakes, exhaust, etc. and in that section is strictly just pictures of what the rigs look like and a brief description of product name, number, and possibly place of purchase. Then we can see what certain mods look like. It might help wind down so many of the newbie questions. And then if further information is wanted it could be resorted to PM or searching the forums. Just my idea. It kinda goes hand-in-hand with the parts list, but mainly for aftermarket stuff.
I really like all the previous mentioned ideas too.

rk, certain people could have rights to be the only ones to post in an area, much like the "Check out my truck" area.
Wiki tiki, I am behind the times on that.
I have seen a few sights, but have not really looked at how they work.
You know we have pod casting ability here too?
Not really sure on how it works though, but it is a feature of the new VB.
Now what abut keeping the FAQ to each year/rig section?
Good Times already has one started in the 4th gen 4Runner section, and I am working on one for the FJC section.
Howbeit our two look totaly different from each other.

(I kid, I kid...)
On a more serious note, what differences would you like to highlight that are PreRunner specific? Almost all the tech involved on PreRunners is the same as 4wd (except the notable lack of a 4wd system).
I've always been behind a Wiki. We've had it come up at least two times before, although I don't remember what ever came of the last time.
I'd go the other direction and keep the standard Wikipedia-style access: everyone (even anyonymous) has access to just about everything. IPs are monitored, so IP blocks are easy for spammers. Also, with everyone having access, anyone can get rid of spam and graffiti. You can always go back to a previous revision, so fixing things is very easy. We could always have a test run and, if it becomes to difficult to mange, axe it.

Who has pre-runners? No one cares about that. Also, everyone hates you! >:-(

But its a great place for the PreRunner people, its (anyone with a prerunner is never gonna let me live this down) like a place for the kids to play while the big boys talk shop.
Just a seperate place for us to talk about trails that are fun for 2WD guys, and things that may be great for 2WD that are boring or not so good for 4WD.

Chris, I will bring that up later.
Please note I am not rushing into implementing any of this right now, just gathering ideas for when we have time to do certain stuff.
The forum is always evolving here.
Gosh, I remember some of the first posts here when Chris and I opened up shop.
"What is the best tire shine?"
I think we have come a long way since the old days.

Location map?
Maybe this has been considered, but how about a goolge map of member's locations in the world?

I was hoping to put together an example of what I want, but I haven't, so I'll describe it.
There are a number of items that people want to see lots of different designs of. In my current case, it's a 3rd gen rear bumper design. Rather than search through 27,463 threads, I'd like to see a summary page that has a bunch of designs gathered from members or vendors, with links back to the describing threads or vendors web sites.
(one of my annoyances is when you *find* just the perfect thread, the pictures in it are no longer where they were linked from)
I think common ones would be front/rear bumper designs for various generations of trucks and runners, sliders, post-lift shots?, ...
Downside would be that it would have to be a moderated/updated series of pages, upside would be saving some of us a TON of searching.
