Haven't tried the windows version of Safari being a Mac guy, But I do have a nice Windows machine for gaming. If I feel the need to browse with it, firefox is the only way. I would guess the update feature windows safari has is a mac app standard, since whenever I'm prompted to update it updates everything (OS, Safari and all my applications).

I luv firefox but sadly I also must use a glacially slow IE5 for some of the web programs at work because they do not accept/recognize anything later then that.
Running them both side by side I'd pick the fox everytime...
