Ooops corrected the link, I bought my Miller 175 3 years ago...guess prices really went up since I only paid $600. It's a great machine, get the MIG cleaning tool and keep the tip clean as it makes a big difference in the welders performance.

if ur really stingent about ur welds like me, id go with tig, way better, stronger, quality, better for alum, and stainless, stainless to mild, etc. if u plan on doing a lot of stuff on ur truck thats in awkward areas, just go with a 220v mig. i dunno what ur level is, if ur new to this stuff go with mig, tig is a lot more complicated than a mig, u said u plan on doing a lot of aluminum, if u go with tig, make sure u get a machine that can do AC welding with high frequency and has squarewave technology

MILLER = syncrowave 250, millermatic 251, spectrum 625, bobcat 225

I never could get used to the feel of those 120v toys.

I use a combination of this transformer and this feeder at work. Actually.. they dont have a photo of the dual spool feeders we use at work, but they come in handy when switching from 1/16 wire over to the massively filling 3/32 wire. You don't even have to adjust the transformer....each side has a full complement of controls for each gun that tells the transformaer what output is desired. Grab the 1/16 gun, throw a 1/4" fillet weld, then grab the 3/32 gun and lay down a 5/8" butt-weld, then go back to teh 1/16 gun to run a vertical without missing a beat!
