All I can say is... WOW.
That looks amazing, and I want to drive it!

One point you may want to look into is reinforcing the top bar where the shocks are connected to. I am no engineer, but am studying to become one Either that or Computer Science...
That and maybe a seatbelt

Wow, we certainly never had any cool projects like that when I was in HS. (Wait, I did make a cool dustpan in metal shop...)

Awesome build, thanks for sharing.

That's ridiculously awesome. It's going to get ugly when it comes times to choose a driver.

What kind of coilovers are you running? Specs?

Looks good. I'm on the team here at the University of Iowa. Are you going to the June competition in Montreal?

Why such a low-powered engine? My 1982 Honda 185cc trike has 12hp lol.

SAE requires that everyone use the same 10hp briggs and straton, to keep costs down I think more than anything else.

FSAE has more than just the throttle restriction.
they are limited to 600 CC also. everything elwe is open however, with different restrictor sizes for turbo, na and e100 fuel.

VT SAE Baja here, youre alittle behind I think.
We just placed 3rd overall in the TN competition a couple weeks ago, 2nd in the endurance.
http://www.baja.org.vt.edu

One of the most important things is getting testing done on your car.
as soon as it is driveable, you guys need to be out there all day every day since youre behind so far. good luck and see you there.
I saw your post on h-t as well.

Derek, glad to hear you guys did so well at competition this year! 3rd is awesome! Who 1-up'ed you guys in the endurance? It was time to knock some of those repetitive winners off the podium. Let's go Hokies!
