wow, those trucks are awesome IslandBuilt, I'm really glad you scrounged up the pics along with a couple in action... Gives purpose to it, even if not everyone does use the trucks in the sand, there is a definate reasone to lift 3 feet, and not just to make room for the biggest tires possible. Keep up the posting, I would love to see more pics of any of these setups, and I know there are others with same thoughts. Dont be discouraged by the ones who cant accept it

Thanks wjwerdna, I dont mind hearing what others think of our style of lifted trucks and like some have said it is obviously not all for going off roading, we wont deny it either, we like the way it looks even if its not all that practical, on the other hand we do use our trucks as trucks.
And as far as the *REAL* wheelin islanders (whatever that means) I havent read that magazine so I cant say for sure if they are *REAL* islanders or just *REAL* wheelers that now reside in the islands, but I do know most of my friends with lifted trucks dont go out of our way to climb rocks and valleys and stuff, unless its in our way!...
A side note i did get my 4 runner lited with a 6" susp lift and am contemplating a 3" BL.

DAMN, I can't believe I missed this thread before. Not my style, I tend to stay away from cars that look too too different, but all I can say is my jaw definately dropped when I saw that black 3rd gen. Not my style, and I wouldn't do it to my truck, but I still have to say WOW!

These are some of the gayest trucks I have ever seen. What an absolute waste of money. Anybody with solid knowledge of a 4WD would laugh at these things.

I wouldn't worry too much about what Obnox says he is from Fayetteville.

I do like the looks of those 4Runners much more than the taco's with 3' of clearance between the tire and the fender.

I think anyone would laugh...
They are made for looks, and to be different....
Some though, have a purpose, different approach. Kinda reminds me of the guyts in Iceland with the Toys on the huge-ass tires and no lift.
