You (and others) are talking about 2 different modles.
One is MV-50 and sells for about $25+ the other (newer) model which looks identical is a MF-1050 and sells for $60+

Fair enough - is the 1050 worth it?
Whats new and different?

I still think I'd rather spend 30 bucks on the MV50!

I noticed two MV-50 compressors sell on Ebay for ~$50. When I checked w/ our local store, they quoted me a price of ~50 for the MV-50 from Superflow. But, they didn't have any in stock. I never heard of the MF-1050, is it made by Superflow as well??

Well theres the differences, if any. They appear to be the exact same compressor. The price gap seems to be the only difference...$25 versus $50-$60
After visting their website i was surprised to see they are located right down the street from where i work. I called them a few times but keep getting an answering machine...

I have tred to find one of these compressors on line for $25.00 until my fingers are ready to bleed. Never found anything under 65.00 and that was for the MV-50 and the 1050 was going for about 79.00. If anyone can find me an MV 50 for $25.00 on line please let me know where. I have tried all the suggested sites where people out west are buying them for 25.00 but when I go to the web sites of the stores they suggest the price is much higher.
Any help would be appreciated. Mike

If anyone can find them for a decent price now let us know. I think the demand increased the price.

Just went to the link you gave me and they don't even list either one of them. They show 22 compressors but not the MV-50 or the MF-1050. Maybe it has something to do with my zip code when they ask for it, I don't know. If you can find the page it's on and then just send me that link maybe I can get to it that way. Thanks, Mike

Are you saying the Kragen link i posted dont show the compressor?
If so, type in zip code 80127 and search "mv-50". You should be able to puchase it that way.

Yeah...thanks for trying. The Kragen site said unavailable at this time for my zip code. But it said some were available in a local store at your zip code. Wish I lived there.

Here:

http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductD...artnumber=MV50

Search for air compressor and you'll find the MV50

Partsamerica is parent company of Schucks, Checker, etc. You can look to see who has it in stock in stores nearby using the website, or you can order it and have it shipped to your house. Its a great little pump, several of us used them on the WATTORA run yesterday. Filled my 33" tire from 12 to 34 PSI in 3-4 minutes.

Here is an email I got back from the one that Erik gave us the link to:

Dear Mr. Gemind,

Thank you for visiting PartsAmerica.com and taking the time to contact us.

Unfortunately the MV-50 was a one time clearance item purchase available only through CSK Auto stores. The only availability is through Checker, Schucks and/or Kragen stores and limited to the quantity on-hand. If there is no availability in your area, try using surrounding zip codes and re-check stock.

If you have any further questions please contact us via e-mail or toll free at 877.808.0698. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Bryan

I searched around here today to see if I could find any more of the MV-50 compressors. No luck, one place said they were supposed to have 4 of them, and the other place was supposed to have 1 of them. Neither store could find the compressors on the shelf.

Did they check out back (sorry for the obvious question)? Mine wasn't on the floor, but in the stockroom.

I would assume so, the one w/ 4 missing had 8 originally. We bought the four they did have.
