97 4runner SAS on Pirate

Just ran across this on Pirate 4x4. Hope this isnt a repost. I just don't know about this 4runner... it looks like its more for show. What do ya'll think?

Who builds a rig like that and doesn't regear or lock it up? Oh well looks like a good starting point i guess?

i posted a pic of that awhile back in the offroad forum but i never knew the details on it until now. i wonder why he would spend the money to run dual air shocks but not one coilover, it seems like it would have been about the same price.

the 4.10 gears, no engine help (flowmasters and k&n dont do much), no lockers, and 36 inch tires is a very good deterrant for someone wanting to buy a capable 3rd gen...it also in my opinion is a possible reflection of how it was taken care of (dumbly)<-if thats a word.

I cant believe it... 36" tires and stock gearing??? That would be painful.

Whats up with air-shocks anywyas... they take place for coils too? I didnt know htat

it would actually be very sweet and awsome trail rig if it was regeared and locked, and with coilovers... then it would be feaking unstopable. That 4 link take tons of fab work
