Tundra Flared Fenders
Hi, 1st post. I just bought an 01 Tundra TRD. Haven't even picked it up yet. Has the black flared fenders. I would like to remove the flares and replace them with OE chrome fender trim. Dealer told me I'll need to get body work done to fill in the flare holes on the fender (new trim, itself is $500.00). I can live w/ the price and a bit of body work, but can anyone tell me for sure that once the filling in the holes and painting is done, will the OE chrome trim fit this same fender AOK? And since I'm asking, anyone know how big and how many these holes that'll need to be "filled" are? Thanks, jim

thats almost sweet..2 new members with a first post and connecting like a charm.
j/k. Welcome! I know everyone has their own preference but why on earth would you want cheap factory chrome (bling) flares versus the cool black ones you already have? If i were you, i'd leave them on...

I just prefer the "lower profile" chrome...looks more "streamlined" to me... 1st thing I'll do when I pickup my truck....next few days...is take off the TRD stickers. Just like things "more plain", I guess.
If I decide to replace the rubber with chrome moulding (got to do a bit of homework...find out how big those holes are...), I'll sell you the rubber CHEAP.
