trd tundra question

is there a way to tell if you have a limited slip other than jacking up the truck. i have a 01 tundra 4wd trd ,thanks

If nothing has been done to the truck it should have an LSD sticker on the diff in big letters. Otherwise just jack it up at the diff, put it in neutral and see what direction the tires turn.

I found a couple of links, e.g. http://www.toysport.com/Technical%20...ifications.htm, but I can not find anything on the VIN tag that translates?

Unless it was added as an after market item, you do not have a limited slip differential, as the limited slip option was not available until the 2002 models.

Yup that's absolutely true...and by golly they should've included that option the first year the truck came out, it's a worthy option and if you don't have it, get it. I'm so glad my truck came with it, drove other non-LSD trucks and making a good hard turn, the truck sort of wiggles it's butt around you.
