Brake line fittings
Hi all,
I just did the caliper upgrade for my 2001 tundra and during the process, I had to replace one of the brake lines, the metal one that screws into the caliper. I bought an 8" line, 3/16" diameter (4.7mm x 20.3 cm) from Oreillys and all it says is that it has metric threads. Are these fittings just a generic metric thread?
I installed the line and the brakes work, but the fittings seem to be slowly leaking brake fluid.
Thanks

Depth of the fitting could be an issue. If it doesn't hold the line tight in there it will simply leak.
Why not just go to the dealer, they are pretty cheap and you are getting a prebent one that you know fits right the first time.
