I'm glad I checked this thread. I almost bit the bullet today and had a hitch built. I was going to build some tubing around the hitch for protection, but since your bumpers look so good I figured I'd get one of those instead. Can't wait to get it installed.

I'm wondering if I'll be the first to post pictures of one of these bumpers on a 2gen 4Runner?

Got my bumper today. Was kinda bummed it didn't come with any nuts? I had to run to the hardware store and buy some so I could throw it on. Going to test it out and hopefully snap some pictures now....

Sorry about that. It drop ships directly to you, so I wasn't sure if hardware was included or not.

No problem, I found the bolts in the receiver, but no nuts. No big deal. I live like 5 blocks from an Ace hardware. The holes for the receiver pin had to be drilled out a bit, but other than that this thing is bitchin. I hooked my trailer up to it and jumped all over the tongue and the bumper didn't budge. I'm going to have some extra gussets or something added to the receiver and connect it directly to the frame so I feel better about towing with it, but it seems pretty damn solid as it is. I'm going to take it off and paint it this weekend, but I'll snap some pics tomorrow unpainted. I just wish the front end looked as tough as the back end now.

Do you have anything without a winch setup? I'd have to drive pretty far to find anything serious enough to use a winch on out here. I'd rather not have the extra weight if I'm not going to put it to good use.

Its never a question of "if" you need one, but "when"..................
