Electrical Components
Here's a bunch of electrical do-dads....
Sure Power dual battery management system....
Xantrex 1200 115VAC Power Inverter.....
Xantrex 300 110VAC in cab Power Converter, to power the laptop and on road waffle maker, coffee maker, TV... LOL
Blue Sea fuse block..... to properly manage additional 12V devices....
12V, 55W Tractor lights, rubber wrapped housings.... I'm installing these battery leaches under the truck as rock lights. They'll also be really handy in camp at night when we drop things on the ground, as we rummage through gear looking for something like a tooth brush.
The handy dandy 4 channel 12V remote control device to turn on and off 12V devices, like lights, air compressor, and other top secret devices. I have two remote boxes....
El Cheap-O rear view camera system. Seems to work OK when I rigged it up to test it. We'll see if it lasts....
CB radio.... Uniden 520XL.... future home: the former ashtray.
I'm going with a K40 antenna, It's detachable, I'll attach it for long hi-way trips and wheeling....
ARB air compressor....
And to help power all these devices...... Optima Yellow top. I've used this battery quite a bit as a stand alone, charging off a battery charger. It main purpose was for in camp power. It's getting a promotion.

Quick Grips
Quick Fist.....
These things are really handy. I had mounted these on our Kayaks to hold the paddles as we fish, they work great!
I liked them so much I bought more for holding a full size Mag-Lite, mini Mag-Lite's, and fire extinguisher, shovel. Heavy duty rubber holders that can be screwed down or bolted.

Rear Tire Gate Design Idea.....
I'm having some fun coming up with a tire gate design.
I did a little Photoshop work, nothing spectacular, just something to get the point across. I wish I had some CAD software, but Photoshop was quick and simple for me.
Anyway.... This design incorporates a caged in spare tire design. The tire is mounted with the back of the wheel facing out, with the gate closed, for security and due partly to the cage design. The cage also acts like a cradle, to accomodate a 33'' tire and a 35'' tire. The tire post will be height adjustable. The outside of the cage will give me a good place to mount the license plate and spot light.
The cage would be fabricated out of 1'' x 2'' rectangular gusseted tube.
The gate is roughly 12'' in height, length is currently unknown.
I want to build a a gate with double barrel hinges welded to a reinforced gusset / bed side protection incorporated tower. This design gives greater strength, getting away from a single spindle hinge design, that has the potential to shear and bounce.
The double Barrel hinge will allow me to remove the swing out gate if I want.
Here is the barrel hinge I'm thinking of using....
http://www.hingesandhardware.com/wel...el_hinges.html
I still have to do the math to come up with a rough weight figure.
I'm not set on this design, I have a couple more to consider. I may actually skip the idea of a swing out gate.
The first image, the gate height is a taller gate design, where the top of the cage cross bar is bisecting the wheels center. Same basic design as the second image....
The second image is a shorter version designed to save a little weight. The wheel mounting post would be easy to incorporate a adjustable height, if I bump the tire size up to 35". The cage width would be built to the specs of a 35 x 12.5'' but still cradle the 33'' tire ....

wow that is some incredible fabrication and thought that you put into that bumper, ive definately never seen another even remotely like it, awesome job
that CB radio is a good one, i have the exact same one mounted where my ashtray went, the only hangup you will encounter is that if you want it to mount flush with the rest of the center console you need to have a 90 degree fitting on the back for the coax, otherwise the cable hits the plenum and makes it stick out too far. alternatively you can cut a hole in the plenum at the spot to allow more clearance.
nice build keep up the good work

Digging around, routing through some boxes, so I'll add this to the trucks kit...
Secondary / Backup / Air Mattress, Air compressor.
I bought this compressor for $25 at Costco a couple years ago, does the job, not the fastest in the world.... but runs like a champ up to 140psi, @35L/min.

that's nice, looks similar to the one that came in my emergency kit from Michelin when I bought their tires. Never had to use it but its cool that mine plugs into a cigarette ligther. Didn't actually realize I had it until two days ago and I've had that kit for 5 years lol
Now where's the new build stuff? Come on

I know, I know.... Can't do much in the winter outside, it's killing me, I need a garage.
Once spring rolls around it's game on...
I did do "some" cutting for the tire gate, but nothing interesting enough to post.
