Yakima Mega Warrior Roof Rack questions...
Hello,
I've searched several times and can't seem to find my answer in the 3rd gen area.
I like the size of the Yakima Mega Warrior over the load warrior and it looks like it should fit pretty flush with my roof. My only conern is will the Mega Warrior Roof rack cover my factory sun roof? From the pics I've seen i should be able to mount it so it SHOULD fit between the rear window spoiler and the sunroof. Also I wouldn't want it hanging out wider then my 4runner either. Flush is ok but not wider. I would go out and measure it my self with the dimensions of the rack but I'm currently deployed so thats not an option. I was hoping to order one so it will be waiting for me at the house when i come back .
I was looking at them on rackwarehouse.com. I'm assuming you guys use (4) locking brackets? Those look like they attach to the factory rack to the basket?
Anyone who's bought one please feel free to chime in. Thanks for your time .

Go with a Load Warrior. If you want it longer, there's an extension available that'll make it 62" long and it will not interfere with the sunroof or spoiler. The load warrior's width also sits flush with the roof line, making it a nice fit and finish.
The Mega Warrior fits lengthwise too but I think it's ridiculously wide (48") for 3rd gens....the factory roof rack bars are 39" inches wide. The Mega will stick out way beyond the roof lines and sit flush with widest part of the body giving it that ultimate safari look.
