0.20 X 0.05 = 0.01 or 1%

hehe, it's not THAT bad. I've been contemplating taking the 5% off my front and redoing with 2.5% but didn't want them to end up being darker then the rear. I've also heard that the 2.5% is prone to fading because of the amount of dye in it.

I like the stock tint but 15% would be nice but any darker and you have issues seeing out at night and tinting your windshield is dangerous (it will lessen your vision at night too) and it's also a "ricer" thing to do.

The only person that's tinted a windshield (that I know) put a layer of neutral on it. That way it reflected sunshine but didn't hinder the vision from the inside. I'm sure you could get away with 50% but I wouldn't do it.

One friend of mine got a tint ticket which was $80. Another one got a tint ticket for $110. Just watch out for troopers and if you get pulled over make sure you roll your windows down. If it's the seatbelt or tint ticket, take the tint ticket because it's cheaper (at least in Texas).

Actually on June 8th the supreme court thre out Georgia
s tint Law. There was an article in the AJC.

Georgia
NO / 32% Net / 32% Net / 32% Net / 1990 ==> Thrown Out !

Note : On Jun 8, 2004, the Georgia Surpreme Court threw out GA's tint law since it discriminated against GA residents by not applying to non-residents. Look for the non-resident exemption to be repealed next year which would reinstate the tint law. This can have ramifications for other states who exempt non-residents from their tint laws. Legislation was sponsored in the 2004 session to remove the non-resident exemption but failed to pass.

Get some duct tape and some garbage bags. Cut up the bags and tape em on. A nice tint job.
Here in NJ I know that some of the cops where I live and some cities down the Jersey shore will give you the ticket AND make you scrape it off right there. Kinda sux, but it's not so bad for the people who have the gold police shields in their front windows, they seem to get away with everything on their personal vehicles.

I have 20% Solar Guard on my front side windows. I LOVE it, and it matches the stock tint almost perfectly. Thinking about putting 5% over the stock rear now though.

Mom has mirror tint on her Infiniti QX4, and I really really don't like the way it looks. Seems cheezy. Better than the tint with blended colors though!

Couldn't you just tear the garbage bag off rather than scrape it off?

When a person throws out a response (bait) just to see if anybody will take it seriously, that's called a "troll." You took the bait and your screen name is unr.frosh. so I guessed you're a freshman at some college with the letters UNR therefore I was merely joking and saying that he caught a freshman with his trolling statement.

Yes.
If you are not a cop or not a family member of one here in NJ with the shield or something else, and you have super dark tint on back windows, or any tint on your front windows, they like to make you take it off right there being that it is illegal here to tint front windows, and go too dark for the rears.

I run 15% on the front side windows and it's plenty dark, it may even be darker than 15%, I just told the guy at the tint shop to make it match the rear and that's what he did. Our legal state limit here in SC is 27% on the front and as dark as you want everywhere else.
