Yes, and I'm going to watch him do it. I want to learn a little bit more on how to put it together. Thanks guys!

Ok, question for you gear guru's.

Got my new Yukon's from DunksPerformance. The package deal is awesome. I just want to see if these are authentic. Here is the number(s) on my 5:29 v6 ring gear:

D5 TV6-529 304. then to the right: 086

and thanks Brian!

TAKE ZUK UP!!! At this point do you really want them to touch your junk again? I concur with the lack of locktite and torque. Simple.

I'd have ZUK look at it, repair it--show your damages--and that you were proactive getting it repaired and settle with the old shop after the fact so too speak with ammo from another professional.

Jason, your too deep to quit the sport, you need to get things managable (maintenence) and that may mean slowing down on mods or whathave you till you can learn them yourself and do all your own work. The only way to survive for the long run.

Good luck bro,

Those are good quality gears...I have set up many of them. If you gave that shop install the gears again then get with me on this thread or thru my email or pm so I can have you do a few checks before you install the 3rd. This could prove interesting.

I was told by the shop that put my detroit in that the flange thickness of the detroit carrier is to thick to allow the keepers to be reused and therefore have to be left off. In place of the keepers the guy who did mine used red locktight and torqured them a bit overspec.

Seemed good enough to me.

I gotta call BS on the shops comments. Been through a few diffs w/ detroits and IIRC, the keepers were there. I'll drop an email to Bruce and ask (he does all of my gear setups).

I don't see why you could ever make the arguement for why not to put the keepers in there (wouldn't you always want to ensure to the best of your ability, that the gear bolts would never walk out). I have to say that looks like installer error. Maybe ZUK can comment on that for us?

This is why I get everything on a CC (credit Card) Anything happens in the 30 days, and i don't feel good about hte answer I get then I call my friends at American express to do a charge back... They don't get a dime till I'm happy.... Just be patient and see what happens....with forums like this he'll lose allot of business from your words.. then again if he makes you happy then WE"RE all happy with you....
