Uncomfortable drivers seat

The driver seat on my 4R is quite uncomfortable. The side thigh bolster on the right is still firm but the one on the left is collapsed and feels too soft. Seems like the previous owner slid his @$$ over the seat causing the left thigh bolster to become soft and no longer be supportive. So when I'm driving, it feels uncomfortable and I have adjust to find a confortable spot constantly, especially long drives. Anyone know a solution to fixing my problem besides buying a new drivers seat. Thanks.

Perhaps the cheapest thing you can try is to strip off the seat cover and re-pad the seat with new / firmer foam.

Any upholstery shop can do it. It's straightforward enough that you could do it yourself, for that matter....

And while you're at it - put at least one extra layer in the lumbar area....

I repadded my Xterra driver's seat under the front part of the seat for better knee support. .
They now have memory foam and gel inserts, "gellin, not swellin."

I think a new seat cost quite a lot, unless your lucky. Shipping will also be expensive, unless you find something local. I found a few driver seats for my 4R around my area, but they are all cloth and manual seats.

I don't know about the 4th gen seats, but I doubt they'll fit. The 3rd gen seats are very narrow. Looking at the 4th gen 4R, physically, it is much wider than the 3rd, so I would have to say NO on the 4th gen seats.
