TRD Tacoma coil color codes and wheel well height?

Hi,

I just installed a complete set of used, 11K miles, TRD Bilstein shocks, front coil/shock combo and rear shock.

Are the front coils color coded for the driver vs. passenger sides? I've read that they are. One is Pink/Purple on the coils, which I was told was the passenger side, and the other is White/Red, the driver side.

Reason for my going w/them, my front sagged around an inch, due to my winch/bumper combo add-on. To correct this, I bought some the used TRD's. From what I read, when installed on the 2.7L I4 Xcab, around a 1" gain in height can be gained due to the weight difference of 100 lbs between the I4 and V6 engines. Before installing, I measured around 29 1/2", and after installing, and w/nearly a full fuel tank, my driver side is still 29 1/2", while my passenger side is is now 30 1/2", at the wheel wells, a 1" difference.

Are the shocks on the wrong sides? Isn't 30 to 30 1/2" approximately the normal height? If I switch sides w/the shocks, the passenger over to the driver, and the driver over to the passenger, can I gain on the drivers side, and loose on the passager's, giving me maybe an even 30" on both?

I've never been into truck lifts. Stock height has always been fine for me offroad, and big tires only mean lower fuel mileage and loss of power, though I may have to consider a 1" front spacer. Next year. I've spent enough on my Taco already this year w/a new Warn M8000 winch/TJM T17 bumper combo, an Optima batery, the TRD shocks, as well as having the bed Line-X'd.

Thx.

shocks stabilize the truck from bouncing...if you can compress them with your hands the 2000 lbs of truck isnt gonna have a problem compressing them....the coil is what is holding the truck up....

having a stiffer shock will definately keep the it from dropping down as much when going over bumps especially when adding more weight to it...but the it will barely if any at all effect the height of the vehicle..

I was talking about the coils, and not the shocks. The TRD coils are designed to support a Tacoma w/a V6 engine, which is suppose to be around 100 lbs heavier than the 4. So if the TRD coils are used on a 4 cylinder powered Tacoma, with around a 100 lb winch/bumper combo, the stock height should be restored.
