How did you mount your lights and how do you have the wires routed?

they arent wired up yet... they will be soon. ill do what jackson did (i bought it from him) and run them through to the back and through the tail.

lights are mounted on surco light tabs.

Looking nice lee! Just a thought...have you considered mounting it lower to the roof? (less wind drag, slightly better MPG, and better COG)

'Norcalvp' made some custom washers or brackets and was able to mount his 1" or closer to the roof while still using the factory roof rack. If your interested, I'm sure he wouldn't mind explaining how he did it.

I don't have any close up pics but you can still kinda see how low it is...

thanks for the heads up ill ask him. i think i asked him the past but didnt get enough detail.

i do want it to be lower, but was considering having a friend fab up smaller brackets...

Are those an easy on,easy off proposition or is that too much of a PITA?

I have a Load Warrior and it goes on and off in about 10 minutes which I like since I only use my rack when needed.

VERY easy. its 8 screws to take it off.

the hardest part of mounting it is making it straight and even. right now, i have to move the crossbar thats in back a little more left to make them even, but im just dealing with it now. the rack however is on as straight as i can get it.

looks good lee....notice the extra weight on the roof when your turning???.

have you noticed if it affected your fuel milage any?

just filled the tank today so ill see about mpg loss soon..

i do notice its a bit heavier up top on turns, but its still pretty quiet and nothing i cant get used to.
