FYI

Site needs work.

You guys need to have a chat with the Web Designer of your site. Obviously he isnt checking the page on a screen less than 1600 x 1200. The Header image is way too big (consumes too much real estate) and the frames setup makes it hard to read the info in the middle.

All the images at the bottom with Hyperlinks should have "hover" pop-up descriptions.

dude, that thing is AWESOME!!! i usually HATE huge rims but for some reason the color of your rig with those rims looks great, i also like the fact that you actaully have a real tire on those rims, most people runnin a big bling bling rim have those ˟˟˟˟ty low profile tires that look like the they belong on a porsche, very nicely done, and as far as the stereo goes, go out in your driveway, turn it all the way up, and ill let you know if i can hear it over here in VA

Robb. for something that was made at the spur of the moment within an hour, I'd say it's pretty okay for the time being.

i think the site looks nice and all, but the layout w/frames is not an effective means of displaying your content.

you should ditch them in favor of a left hand menu, content in the middle.

its the best way to get things sold!

nice lookin rigs on that page... good luck.

it is not the final layout, it is not going to be up for that much longer, and many people have seemed to find it okay enough for the moment.

The image artwork is good... your sizing, formatting and layout just need a lot of work.

According to the posts, I thought you guys have been working on it for months now ?

Rule #1, Dont launch a webpage until its ready. "Slapping it together in a hour" should be a prime indicator that you werent ready.

it is not the final layout, it is not going to be up for that much longer, and many people have seemed to find it okay enough for the moment.
Hope the rest of your company and products isnt driven by the same philosophy ?

Your site is a direct extension of the company and products you sell. If your website is all FUBAR, and its your main communication medium to the client, it makes it look like your whole operation is FUBAR too.

Standard is to build pages for 800 x 600 res. Becoming "more Acceptable" to build for 1024 x 768.

Set you monitor to those Res's and check out your site. YIKES ! half the screen is your top and bottom frames. (again, poor use of real estate)

No, you are incorrect. The timeline was changed on me and Billy needed the site up immediately. He's been selling parts and doing this work for months now, so whereas the permanent site was not ready upon changing the timeline, that does not say that we weren't ready. We had to get something up where we could post the pictures and prices quickly.

It's worked so far and will continue to work until Billy gives me the necessary info to finish the final product.

I appreciate your constructive criticism, but there's no need to call it FUBAR or to insinuate negative things by taking my comments out of context. No, of course the rest of the company isn't operated on the same philosophy as you quoted. I did the best I could with the curve ball that was thrown, suffice it to say it has served its purposes well and in the meantime I've been working hard on the final page. The current one is temporary, and only for the purpose of announcing the full kit and showing the pictures.

looking at our stats, over 97% of the people browsing the site have 1024x768 or higher resolutions.

nonetheless, point taken, appreciated, and hopefully the final one will be more indicative of the rest of our business.

Id say its your responsibility as the web designer then, to push back to ensure a quality product gets released. You should have been at minimum consulted as part of the timeline change, and ideally making you part of the decision, rather than the "victim" ( as you seem to indicate).

your image work is pretty good, if Ididnt say so already

Good luck.

i'm not a "victim" in any sense of the word - but if he tells me to get a simple temporary website up, i'm not going to argue with him --- needed it up quickly due to people wanting to see other people's rides, and we did the best we could with the time we had.

thanks for wishing me luck - I definitely need it because I have a feeling it will be impossible to impress everyone, so I'll just do my best! At least all the links work!!

Thanks again for the criticism, I'll definitely remember to check ALL resolutions on the final product, even if we rarely get 800x600 visitors.

I can't see the pic, in the link posted in the first post, but looking at the ones on NE's website, I gotta say I'm really impressed. The large wheels look great in black, and the M/t's make them look even better. I was pretty skeptical at first, but the pics made me a believer! Nice work, dude. Over the top, but very nice .

Randomness --- are you talking about Billy's truck? Yeah, it's pretty awesome!!

AKennedy87 --- no, NE's site isn't down, but wherever he had his pic hosted before is broken.
