You know Bob...
the thought to send you and Tom those "Awooo-gah" horns was pretty tempting...

I don't know if those are necessarily better than Toyota stock. I think the people you were honkin' at would be too busy laughing

You know, I actually was tempted by them myself!!

I wouldn't mind having something like that as a back-up horn, but not as my only one.

I installed the freeway blasters last night.....wow!!

They are definitely a huge improvement over stock.

You got that right!

I almost feel bad when people cut me off. I must say I am quite "trigger happy" now.

COOL!

I have to admit I've driven late night, been the only one on the freeway, and just laid down on the horn just for the sake of hearing it

Bob and I were saying last night how we do the same thing, and how our wives get annoyed at us for it.

Hey SkyRat (or anyone who knows),

Is there any delay in those Fiamm 72102/72112 horns?

Oh, I found a sound byte of the Fiamm horns:

Hey Phong,

Nope, no delay for me, these are electric. I was thinking the only time you'd get a delay is with air horns, but could be wrong.

My air horns have a .13458 second delay. Yes, I've timed it.

Hey guys, I thought I'd tell you about my find. I went to the junkyard yesterday and found a 1984-88? cadillac and pulled out 2 of its 3 horns. Five dollars later I was on my way. So wish me luck! And I will post results later today.

Found a minivan that honked pretty loud and pretty low, old Plymouth Voyager. Opened the hood and couldn't even find them for a while, since I couldn't honk and look for them at the same time. There were TWO, and they were actually buried in the engine compartment, so they can only get even louder when placed right behind my grill. Didn't think about it at the time, but each has ONE terminal connected, no + and -, just one power clip and then they're bolted/grounded.

So here's my question, I've got two of these guys, how would you suggest I wire these into my 89 Runner with single horn + and -? I will volunteer that I am not very scholled on anything but the simplest of electrical priciples, am thinking relay but I honestly am not familiar with what they are used for. But they have the right sound, they were free, might as well use em. Thanks for any ideas... D!

I had a huge write up
Lemme guess, you filled out the reply page, it took so long your session timed out, so when you hit "submit" it had an error and it was all gone when you hit "back"?

That drives me nuts, especially when you don't know you're going to write for a long time. I try to use word and just paste it in when done. Cool, good to know somebody has a proceedure, will hang for the verdict. Thanks, PWT...
