Question Reversing tires on the wheels

I have noticed that my tires have worn faster on the outside of the tires than the center or inside. I am guessing it is mostly due to the stress/pressure on the tires while cornering.

Now I realize that I probably need to get an alignment, and will do so soon, but I don't think I am having alignment issues.

My question/concern is if I were to reverse the tires on the wheels, so that the less-worn side is on the outside of the wheel, would I have any driveability issues? Would I all of a sudden have a properly aligned vehicle that is really difficult to handle?

Thanks!

Hi Scott. Having them re-mounted would help strech the life of this set of tires but the same thing will happen with the next set.

After thinking about it some, I think it is an alignment problem. Check out what your buddy Mr Scheafer had done with his allignment.

Before.

After.

If you set Sherpa up like that with the allignment cams for the lower A arms further out I think it would solve this problem.

Talk to you soon my friend.

Edit: I didn't really answer your main question about drivability, sorry. I really don't know about that but I don't see why it would suddenly be un-drivable.

Thanks Matt,

I will ask about doing that when I have the alignment done.

I had a great time 'wheeling with you. I hope that more people get their pictures posted soon!
