Pics of my custom ISR mod

I took a few pics of what I made today--I used a portion of a turbo tube from the new Ford Diesel--the boots are from the diesel also--

Installed--

All hooked up and ready to go--

Dude, I'll buy one from ya.
Trying to do custom work at my place is a PITA.

That looks good.
How did you secure the piping for the hoses to the tube?
I know a few were concerned on Blu's write-up that the nuts inside the main tube might work themselves loose and get sucked into the engine which would cause a major meltdown.

I actually threaded the fitting into the pipe and used plumbing washers to make it air tight.

You'd have to add up the parts and your labor Marc to see if it's worth it.
I do like the design though.

Did you notice a more throaty sound?
I wonder how that and the UKMyers airbox mod would sound together?
That is a mod I may do one day too.

Have you tested it by nailing the throttle to see if it takes off faster?

Don't mean to sound stupid but what are those two hoses running into the intake pipe?

one of the hoses comes right off the valve cover, the other is some sort of emmission hose coming from under the intake manifold.

Very nice work Marc, my compliments. Those boots look like a great addition. I'm thinking you could get 35 to 45 bucks plus cost of materials for your work there. I bet you'd sell quite a few. also looks straight forward enough for anyone to do at home.

I'd am very interested in this!

Could you use normal hose clamps on the boots instead of those *huge* clamps that are in the pics?
