I do not use as controller. I use a Ron Francis Wire Works 176 degree sensor, mounted in my water neck, that is wired to a high Amp rated relay. The sensor is connected to the relay coil ground connection that operates the Low speed of the Taurus fan. My A/C amplifier is wired to a second high rated relay that controlls the high speed of the Taurus fan. Ther A/C Amplifier is connected to the relay coil
ground connection as well. In addition, I have 3 pole switches installed for Auto / Manual operation.

I have to agree with you there, but I am not using the Taurus Fan... I have the one from TorqFlo, an it still meted the fuse harness. Not sure what to make of it. I think I am going to try an see if I can fit a slightly "Larger" fan in there and possibly craft my own load bank to offset the amp load from the fan. Though it cools adequately, I have a sneaky suspicion that it is just barely doing so with the 15'' fan. Looking into alternate fan controller units as well cause a fried harness like that could lead to fried head gaskets when you least expect it, an these days, money is a bit more scarce than it used to be.
