But the coils ARE suspect.

So today went out and started it up to go pick up the trailer.

And what do you know, runs perfect again! I will take it but i sure hope it stays away this time. If not i might go mad trying to fix this.
As soon as wrote that I figured I'd be corrected and it would have the coil packs... Ahhhhggg

If it's any consolation. My LS uses coil packs, 1 on the top of each plug. So far I replaced 5 of 8. I was getting hesitation and the occasional miss. Took it to Lincoln and they said 3 were bad. So I changed 3 and still had an issue, and replaced 2 more now she's alright...for now. What I had read it was common for these to go, closer to 75k I changed mine at 145k so I think I did alright.

She never threw a code at me though...Might be something to look at.

Well just got the car back and it ran fine the whole trip but then after returning the trailer it started up again, not as bad but it was there.

This is fun.

On the up side the car i went ot get was better then i had hoped, near mint condition 1990 RX7 GXL with ALL the options except leather which i hate.

Guy blew the motor going down the highway, oh well this time around it gets an LS2 with 400RWHP - 500RWHP ;-)

Should be fun, just got the sell the 300zx to pay for it...lol

Oh how i wish that was the case!

Actually the most i have spent on any of my cars (spent a LOT more on the 4runner but that is not a car) is $1500 for the MR2.

I find them cheap and then fix them up, in some cases little things, others just need a new engine like this one and the 300zx.

I am so broke right now though, really should not have got this car but been waiting too long for this exact car to pass it up.

Won't be able to start working on it for months though, and until I sell the 300zx, darn the luck, i am now getting giddy thinking about the LS2 in a 2400lb car!
