I have been living with lifter tap tap tap.....this AM on the way to
work....before the engine heated up.....I noticed that it was not
tapping. When the engine wormed up......tap tap tap. I was
thinking of going to a thicker oil. I use 10w30 in the summer and
10w40 in the winter......well here in Houston, tx it doesn't get
that cold in the winter.

Any oppinions on going to a thicker oil.....what weight?
