yep. it's all done. it took forever, but it's finally done. we went with a 75 shot. and just, wow. that doesn't even describe it. i have no pics, sorry, of install, but i will take pics of the finished. i did have a performance shop install it but i was there every step of the way and helped out with it. i'm good friends with the guys there. the hardest part is the stock fuel line, it's plastic! what crappy crap. the whole install took about 14 hours. yes. 14 HOURS. CK, the manager, is an expert with nitrous so he was the first to drive it, and he took me up the street, full throttle, without it first. then we stopped. turned around. he told me, "when i tell you to flick the switch, flick it." we started going full throttle again, and about 2700 or so into first, DO IT! i heard it flow through the engine and felt my entire body get thrown back into the seat. we continued to rocket down this street until about halfway through third. we were still spinning the tires. IT. IS. AWESOME. i highly recommend nitrous to any of those out there that are sick of civics whining past them. flick it and it's armed. floor it and you're gone. easy as that.
silvertruck, that kit is just stupid. those tiny tanks will last you maybe 20 seconds each. maybe twenty seconds.
99sr5, i'm running a 75 shot on a 22re with stock internals, almost 128500, full exhaust and intake. if you ever do get the money to do it, DO IT. it's worth it. if you love beating hondas then you'll love killing them.
i'll get some pics up tomorrow of the finished product and try and do some video and post it somewhere.

and yes, dudebud is right. this all cost me a little over 900 to get the kit, install it, and fill the bottle. oh yeah and we went with a ten pound bottle for right now until the brackets for the twenty pound come in (sometime next week). around here it is 40 to fill a ten pound bottle and 80 for a twenty.

You are slowly melting your pistons. Get pics when you get a chance and have fun!

i have been having fun and i've only had it about twelve hours! the ten pound should last about 2 min 15 sec on 75. and i'm not really sure about melting my pistons. CK, the nitrous expert, did something with the timing but i'm not sure if my pistons will still melt or not. doesn't matter to me though, i'm getting a new car in a month or so. and yes the nitrous is coming with me.

It's much more than the cost of the N20... think of the resale value. Would you ever buy a truck from an 18 year old guy who quite obviously bags the ÅÅÅÅ out it? I'd say the resale value of his truck just dropped in half with that upgrade.

Or maybe I'm just too old to understand this...

well that all depends.. resale value of a truck does depend on what shape its in but what if he has no plans on selling the truck and just playing with it. its just a 3rd gen 2wd 22re nothing really special

yeah i'm not really sure what i want to do with it yet. sell it, trade it in for a new car even though the trade in value is crap, or keep it and get another car. but it is really fun. i can burn the tires in third gear from just shifting into it. i already had some people yell at me but i don't know why. i just got up to the speed limit really fast.

My thoughts exactly... Musta' been the custom machining and the clean electrical work on the throttle switch.

Dyno and track numbers would be fun.

yeah, it took 14 hours, we took breaks in between some stuff, like replacing fuel line. and in about two weeks or so i'll get some dyno numbers, my friend goes to school up at Denver Automotive and Diesel College and they have a dyno up there. i'm not sure where some tracks are around here though. and yeah that is real clean electrical... the black wire behind everything runs for my tach, i did that myself. it didn't come with one in it. but when i do dyno it i'll be sure to post the numbers.

I have around 100 passes on my SC 4Runner, best time to date is 14.89. I want to add a intercooler or NOS (small shot) just to cool things down. I hope to get it to run mid 14's at 93 MPH or so.

The way the S/C is setup on our engines you can't really get in there to run an intercooler without some heavy machining and a new hood. running a mist system with methanol will do your cool-down for you and increase the fuel density without the risks of running nitrous.

But before you try it, you'll gonna need larger injectors. You have to be able to get more fuel into the engine otherwise the methanol will force you WAY lean. In fact, with that 2" pulley, I'd bet you're maginal as it is... What's the LM-1 saying at WOT?

Talk to Dave (TRDOLMAN). He's pulled a 14.24 @ 93.71 with all bolt-on parts.

Looking a the mods list in your sig, I'd suggest your next step to be injectors, then headers and a 2.5" exhaust from the downtubes back. With the S/C, the stock exhaust is too restrictive for max power.
