well i finally got it done...

the deckplate mod!

and it's rad
it took a little longer than expected because the directions called for a 4.25 inch hole saw when really a 4.50 inch hole was needed.
and i kept seeing some gap between the airbox and the edge of the deckplate ring, so i got went a little sealant happy, haha, but oh well. i think it looks kinda cool. they only had blue, not black. but it reminds me of the thrice song "ultra blue" so it's all good.

when i was all finished i took a little test drive down the street back and was like "damn, this is LOUD. cool!" but then i realized i forgot to put the airfilter back in :pat: anyway i put it back, and it's still noticibly louder. i like i like.

also, eariler today i finished up my gap guards. i bought those "lift lips" ones but they're crap. they didn't fit they way i like. so if you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself right? so i bought some rubber sheet and made my own. they do look a little ghetto, but oh well. much more complete than the other ones. no pics yet, but i'll get some up soon hopefully.
next: drop the radiator from the body lift and extend the transfer case shifter
