SO i put it all in, and turn it on, and... my stock sound could go louder. Sure it didnt sound that good but I never found the top of hte stock stuff. Especially with my New HU attached to them


On the new stuff, I can sit at 35 volume and think its too loud.

I have a 1000w amp, 80watts per channel RMS with the speakers rated to 100RMS

Its a Profile 1040
Polk audio DB6501
Alpine 9884 HU

Should it not be as loud? better sounding?

Should sound alot better. I've installed 5 different systems in various trucks and never had an issue with them sounding worse than stock. Amp and everything powers up? Maybe a faulty headunit, not producing the proper wattage.

You may want to double check and see if you have the output level on the amp turned up atleast half way and more like three quartars wide open to get more output power to them speakers.

Well I worked at it, and played with some settings. They sound good, All the way up to max volume, they just don't get as loud as I expected.

But Ive never really experienced good car audio.. Or done a system so I'm not too sure what I'm looking for/what settings I can tweak.
