My hats off to all of you that..............
I'm in the process of restoring a 1990 4runner SR5 4x4 V6.Already did the axle boots, tires, pwr steering hose, grill ,valance, speakers, all filters, all fluids.Anyway i was going to do the timing belt two weeks ago and noticed coolant residue between the heads and block. So i ordered up a head gasket set and new head bolts.Last week end i started tearing it down(at work-Honda Dealership-with a full set of tools).Well three days later i finished, replaced headgaskets, lapped in the valves, valve seals, valve adjustment, waterpump, thermostat, all belts, resealed power steering pump, plugs ect.....what a job that was.All you guys that did headgaskets in your garage at home have my total respect
Thank God for this forum.I used several tips found here(like pulling both heads at the same time-that stupid crossover pipe).Anyway Thanks again!
