I know I will as soon as I get a new muffler.
I plan to find a tunnel, accelerate from 0, and when I hit the peak of it - lay on the horn all the way out

Would it be possible for me to JUST get a new muffler for the sound, and use all my existing old parts?
I was THINKING of usiing all the old parts up to the muffler, cut off the old one, put a new Flowmaster on and some new pipes and a tip from there on. How much would that cost installed do you think?
What about that compared to JUST a new muffler using existing parts?
Thanks guys, I wanna blast my way through a tunnel too!!

Hey fink that's pretty much what I did. I just bought a magnaflow muffler online, and took it to the shop to get put on. The only reason they used clamps on both sides was because it's shorter than the oem muffler. But everything else was still left on.

90 bucks for the magnaflow muffler (shipped). I got the stainless steel version which was like 80 bucks. But you can get the aluminized version for like 65.
45 for install.
Total 135, which isn't bad I guess cuz I got the muffler I wanted, instead of going with whatever the shop carried.
Pipe size is 2.25" I believe

I dropped in my Magnaflow and kept all other parts. Stock pipes for a 3rd gen v6 is 2.25" I believe.

Hey Toyo_Runner96:
Now that you've had the Magnaflow on for a while, how's the performance? In particular, any loss of low end torque?
Also, what is the length of the muffler (14", 18", other?)
Thanx!

Humm........as for performance I felt like I lost low-end torque, but gained high end hp. I'm not sure if that's supposed to happen, but that's what I felt. Also the weird feeling might because because my isr mod is wack right now.
As for the sound, I love it when I start up the truck, it sounds awesome!! While driving it's pretty deep, after accelerating the deep sound turns sorta into a drone a little. I just turn up the music if I don't want to hear it. Pretty simple.
Also on the highway there is a drone too. I dunno, maybe it's just me, because I know of a bunch of members that are very satisfied with this muffler. Don't get me wrong, I'm satisfied with it. Just new to me because it's the first vehicle I've had an aftermarket exhaust/muffler on.
I'll probably take sound clips and vid clips this weekend.

Wahoo! Glad you got it done, Rob. Mine is exactly the way you describe, above around 2700-3000 rpm, you can't hear the exhaust anymore, just the ISR mod. Cool, isn't it?
I drove around with the passenger side windows down on mine for like a week after I had my exhaust done last year...
