How to remove rubber strip on tailgate
I have some rust starting on my tailgate and I want to clean this up. But it starts under the rubber strip/squeegee at the bottom of the glass on my tailgate. How do you remove that rubber strip so I can clean the rust under there? I tried pulling it a little and it looks like it might come off but I didn't want to rip it.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I had to put mine back on when I had some rust repaired. When they took it off, the body shop tweaked it a bit and broke some clips. The clips are plastic and grip the molding in a small formed "channel" in the rubber. These clips index into rectangular holes in the metal of the tailgate skin. If you remove the inside panel completely, I'm pretty sure you can see them (white plastic). You can the clips at the dealer if you break some.

Thanks guys. I'm sure I'll break off some clips but I'm glad I can easily get them at the dealership. Now I'll just have to wait for warmer weather before getting started... or get a heater in my garage. Thanks again.
