Hood scoop or not?
Just wanted some opinions. A friend of mine has one of those tape on scoops, he didnt like it on his chevy so he tore it off and gave it to me.
I placed it on my 4runner and it looks okay. Its not taped on I just sat it on my hood.
Should I keep it or toss it?
Some people think its kinda tacky, so I just wanted some opinions from you guys.

Yes, as long as you use duct tape and literally just tape across the top of it onto your hood. that would be SO hardcore.
I need a picture. Is it paint matched? if not, then I would say no.

Yikes, those things are a little like putting a wing on a rice rocket... Wouldn't they just act as airbrakes, detrimenting your top speed
Of course, they might add that "WOW" factor, good or bad...

I've never liked the stick on hood scopes, they all look so cheap, I've seen some nice SUV's before, runined by them, just leave that for the junk pile,
You could possibly make one look nice, but cutting the appropriate hole in the hood, and putting it in from underneith, more of a shaker hood look

1- yes its a 3m stick on scoop
2- no, its a carbon fiber look, it looks very similar to this:
3- It dosent look to bad, I dont have a cam right now for a pic.
Baisicly I'm just trying to see what other people think. I've decided not to put it on seeing as how I'd have to cut my hood to make it functional(I'd rather duct tape it heh...).
I know Toyota makes a hood with a scoop I could buy, but is it a working scoop?
If its functional, how much do they go for?
Also, could I get it shipped out painted? Or do they only come primed?

My favorite add on hood scoop is an old shoe box taped down. Want to simulate you've got a big block engine? Use cowboy boot shoe box. For extra pretty, use a womens shoe box, they come with extra colors and are more water resistant.
I really used to do this as a kid back when I had a true Thunder Chicken.

$300-500 isnt bad compaird to $800 bucks to replace the hood on my GrandAm GT, it was cheaper to replace it with a carbon fiber hood.
(carbon fiber hoods are ugly)
Besides, I'm not going to avoid my 4runner being called a rice burner. My brother in law drives a Jeep, father in law drives a ford excursion, and my mother in law has an explorer.
The in-laws give me more ˟˟˟˟ than ever about it as is it.
All because its a Toyota, and half of it due to me being half asian.
"Damnit... for the last time JOE my name aint WANG CHONG!!"

Nobody likes my idea of the bull horns? I think it would give the truck a real aggressive and macho look. A definite chick magnet.
OK then, how about this, here in SoCal I sometimes see pickup trucks driven by male Hispanics (recent immigrants I would hazard to guess) that have stickers (or even chrome cutouts) showing the silhouette of a well endowed Brahma bull. Sometimes there are even 2 of these on a truck. With a press on hood scoop and one of these stickers you could really impress your friends.
