for DRIVING LIGHTS in the 55W class, you can't beat the Hella 500's - no matter how much you spend. the Hella ff1000's are really nice and match the headlights better and are only $95 + shipping on ebay.
for 100W class, the Hella 4000's are a good choice along with the Lightforce 170's.
for 130W class, there's only ONE, and that's IPF!

IPF 900:
throw a pair of 55W fogs and a pair of 130W driving lights on w/ High Beams and it's
BRIGHT
to say the least
on long deserted stretches, i can make out OBJECTS at over 3/4 MILE AWAY...
(think aircraft-landing-lights-kind-of-bright... )

IPF also makes a spot/ fog lamp. It is two lights in one.

968's are sweet lights. however, they are 55W (NOT 100W) and are competetors to the Hella ff1000's that are priced in the same range. they are definitely a "step up" in price range above the Hella 500's.
they're also driving lights and NOT fog lights. BIG difference in beam pattern.

i doubt it in MA. prob just Fogs. typically, driving lights are considered off-road lights.
i still use mine. i have them wired in w/ the high beams and an isolation switch. switch = on, they still only come on w/ the high beams. flip the high's off, and the driving lights go off. the fogs are wired in to the factory fog harness w/ the jumper so they will work w/ just the parking/running lights. that way, i can run:
just fogs
just lows
lows + fogs
highs + fogs
highs + 900s
highs + fogs + 900's
all that from the factory stick controls w/ 1 simple isolation switch that's an OEM and in the OEM location for the rear locker (for the 900's - the fogs are on the OEM fog switch on the stick) .
