Does anyone have the FIPK for their vehicles? If so, how do you like it? Is it worth the money? The K&N website reports a gain of like 12 hp. I know that can't be true because everyone would have one.

Will it give any power gain at all? What are the pros/cons?

i liked mine, made a nice growl sound to the intake. i wouldnt say it was a 12hp gain, but it was noticable. prob in the 4-8 hp range. If you're looking for one for a 2nd gen i just took it off and am looking to sell it

Not to throw any rocks at my brother above who is selling his FIPK, but that is a good move, I wouldn't put one on my rig if you gave it to me. If you ever go into serious water, splash some puddles off road, even hit some in a sudden down pour on the road, that thing is gonna suck water like Monica Lewinsky. Even if you are strictly on road, for the minimal hp gain, do the deckplate mod or cut your air box for about $10 and get about the same results for a 1/20 of the price. Save $190 and buy something else! My 0.02.

My open element K=N on my 92 4runner did seem to suck in alot of water this one time I blew threw a swamp at 35. I got to thinking and I cut a milk jug in half top to bottem and when I know I'm gonna get wet, I secure it with a few HD rubber bands around the intake. Cheap, easy and It worked! Other than crazy fast dives into water you just cant get enough water in it to stall or hydrolic the engine. If the water is sitting up at that level, the distributor is an inch away from getting soaked so you got problems anyway. I did notice a difference in HP when I put it on (about 6.5?) Performance Products Catalog has a nice graph, and I love the sound so I'll keep mine.
