Do I have a bad antenna ground?
Installed my new Cobra C 75/Firestik today. I went to test the SWR after the install, but couldn't get a reading. The dial didn't move a bit, even when keying the mic.
Do you think I have a bad ground? I didn't sand the metal before putting the mount in. For some reason, I was thinking that the antenna was already grounded. If it is the ground, will I need to remove the mount and sand it, or can I add a ground to it with a wire?
