Ceramic brake pads

Hey guys,

Just a general question. Wondering if anyone has installed ceramic brake pads and how you like them. I just had new NAPA rotors and Napa Ceramix pads installed on the wife's car. They're great as far as stopping, squealing, and brake dust. The down side is that the ceramic pads do humm louder when applying the brakes. The sound kid of like a light grinding wheel. It's a strange sound and my mechanic friend told me that this is the only downside to the ceramic pads. Anyone else noticed this?

I turned my rotors and installed some morse ceramic pads. I have no hum, dust or squealing... I'm very happy with them.

I have a brand new front set that I put on but could not get them to stop squeaking. They did stop nicely.
