Body Lift is in!
Hey there!
Installed my 1" body lift at the weekend. Altogether it took about 5 hours on my own. Didnt take any breaks, as once i get into something its hard to get me away from it. No real problems to report except for some minor grinding of the front bumper support to accomdat the relocation brackets. Had to trim the rubber boots surrounding the shift levers as it kept poppin out of 2nd, 4th and reverse. Would recommend unbolting the steering shaft as it di separate a bit as did the fuel filler hose. Other than that it was pretty damn easy! Have to get a DIGICAM so i can actually post some pics. If i'd had one i would have added it to the MODS section. Ah well!

Awesome! So would you recommend the 1" body lift to others? Do you offroad a lot?
Your sig doesn't indicate what year your 4Runner is, but I'm assuming from this: "custom Grill insert( Jackson)"
that's it's a 3rd gen of some year, as jacksonpt has a 3rd gen. Is this correct?

Same questions as above...
I'm debating a 1 inch BL, I'm still relying on my toy for part time DD status so I haven't wanted to pump $$ into a full suspension lift, but I don't want to deal with installation issues of 3 inch BL. If I can get 1" with minimal issues then it's a go. Just looking fo opinions...

No, its a 1990 Hilux Surf SSR limited, 2.4 TD. So its the same as the 2nd gen 4runner. I would recommend this mod. I assume it would be the same for the 3rd gen. And it only cost $83 + shipping. Roger Brown supplied it and i had it within a week of ordering. I thought no-one would notice with only 1" but everyone has! I used to use it for work. Im a land surveyor , so i'd use it everyday. Trated it real bad for a couple of years. Stopped using it for works last year and after the lift i could see places under the bosy i couldnt see before which were caked with mud. I had barley growing from the back bumper once. You can do the same custom grill insert on the 2nd gen. Took a couple of hours but looks cool. Have to get some pics on soon!
