Sorry if this may have already been answered but I was just wondering if 2002 tacoma xtra cab and a 1996 standard cab tacoma have the same bed size. Looking to buy a canopy and just checking to see if it will fit. thanks

why not just buy a canopy for a 2002 tacoma xtra cab then?

Because i found one from a 96 tacoma for 300 bucks on craigslist

ask the person to measure there canopy then measure your bed to see if there compatible. and im pretty sure the beds are the same size because the shortbox was on the 4 door taco and they never made a longbed i dont think for the tacomas in america atleast in your generation.

Ended up going to check it out and it fit great. The slant in the front is a little off but overall the canopy serves its purpose
